Microbot, Corewell Health Team Up to Develop Remote Feature for Surgical Robot

Microbot Medical, developer of the Liberty endovascular robotic surgical system, began a collaboration agreement with Corewell Health.
 
The multi-phased objective of this partnership, the duo said, it to enable telerobotics between remote centers using Liberty. The agreement includes the right for mutual evaluation of Liberty for remote surgeries. The effort at Corewell—a not-for-profit health system with a team of over 6,000 clinicianswill be led by Ryan Madder, MD, Corewell’s section chief of interventional cardiology and director of its cardiac cath lab.

In October, Microbot inked a manufacturing deal with B.Y. Medimor, a provider of new product introduction (NPI) solutions and full turnkey manufacturing.
