Methods Machine Tools Hires West Coast Manager

Methods Machine Tools Inc., a supplier of innovative precision machine tools, automation and accessories, named Fernando R. Garcia general manager of West Coast operations. In this role, Garcia will head all of Methods’ operations in California, Oregon and Washington.

Garcia has more than 20 years of experience in the machine tool industry. The move also is part of the Sudbury, Mass.-based company’s West Coast expansion.
 
“We’re very pleased to have Fernando join Methods,” said Bryon Deysher, president and CEO of Methods Machine Tools. “He brings a wealth of experience and leadership in the machine tool industry and will play a critical role in our West Coast expansion plans moving forward.”
 
Methods will soon be opening a technology center in the Northern California region, where Garcia will be based. The new facility will have the latest machine tools and automation technology with application experts on-site, according to the company. Garcia also will expand Methods’ sales, service and applications presence throughout the entire West Coast region. 

Beginning his career as a machinist, Garcia has been fully involved in the manufacturing industry throughout his career. Prior to joining Methods, Garcia was president of Ellison Technologies/DMG/Mori Seiki—Northern California since 2009 and held various executive and sales positions, primarily with Ellison, for more than 20 years.
