Medical Device Innovation Consortium Announces 2016 Board of Directors

Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC), a leader in advancing medical technology regulatory science for patient benefit, has announced its 2016 Board of Directors and appointed Michael Minogue board chairman. MDIC is a public-private partnership between the medical technology industry, government and non-profit organizations to support faster, safer and more cost-effective development, assessment and review of important new medical technologies.

“Since the founding of MDIC, the Consortium has benefited from an engaged board of senior leaders that share our vision of protecting and promoting public health. We are pleased to have the momentum continue under Mike Minogue’s leadership as chairman. As a founding Board member, Mike helped shape our vision and recruit new members,” said Jeffrey Shuren, M.D., director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health and founding MDIC Board of Directors executive committee member. “Technology continues to advance at an unprecedented rate. MDIC’s success in bringing the best minds throughout the ecosystem together in the pre-competitive space to address our most challenging regulatory science questions can help us realize our vision of U.S. patients having access to important new technologies first in the world.”

Under Bill’s tenure, MDIC has grown to over 50 members and delivered innovative tools supporting the science of patient preference and advanced computational modeling in clinical trials.”
