Jacques Gilbert Joins Topcon Healthcare’s Executive Management Team

Topcon Healthcare Inc. has appointed Jacques Gilbert as chief Strategy and Business Development Officer. He is tasked with leading the development and execution of the company’s business strategy, focusing on its Healthcare from the Eye initiative—a connected care ecosystem using oculomics, the science behind AI-powered ocular and systemic disease detection and management applied to noninvasive retinal imaging.

With more than a quarter century-tenure in the healthcare, financial services, and technology sectors, Gilbert brings a wealth of expertise in driving strategic growth, innovation, and business development for both startups and multinational corporations. Most recently, he was vice president of Healthcare Strategy, Partnerships & M&A at Microsoft, where he played a key role in driving the company’s growth in medical imaging and healthcare technologies, including the integration of Nuance’s medical imaging technology into Microsoft’s portfolio.

In his new role, Gilbert will lead Topcon Healthcare strategic initiatives, spearhead new strategic partnerships, and unlock growth opportunities to advance the firm’s position within healthcare innovation. “I am excited to join Topcon Healthcare on its mission to deliver the Healthcare from the Eye initiative.
