Inogen Adds Mira Kirti Sahney to its Board

New addition was president of Medtronic's Pelvic Health Operating Unit for three years.

Inogen Inc. has appointed Mira Kirti Sahney to its Board of Directors and bid farewell to retiring member Tom West, who had served as a director since April 2023.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mira Sahney to the Inogen board. Mira brings considerable management, technical, and operational experience in the medical device field to Inogen,” Inogen Board Chair Elizabeth Mora said. “Mira’s appointment will further strengthen Inogen’s Board with another talented, experienced, and capable member as we advance our position as a global leader in respiratory care. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would also like to thank Tom West for his contributions to the board and company. He has played an important role in the transformation of Inogen over the past two years.”

Sahney has been a board member of Claria Medical, a privately held minimally invasive surgical tools company, since 2017. Previously, she was president of Medtronic’s Pelvic Health Operating Unit from 2021 to 2024. Before joining Medtronic, Sahney was president, CEO, and director of Hyalex Orthopaedics, a venture-backed medical device innovator from 2017 to 2021. Prior to Hyalex, she served in leadership roles at Smith + Nephew , including as senior vice president and general manager of both the Ear, Nose and Throat and the Gynecology businesses. She began her medical technology career as co-founder and president of Myomo Inc., a wearable medical robotics company addressing neurological disorders.

Sahney graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, and she earned a master of science degree from Stanford University in mechanical engineering. Sahney also earned a master of science degree in engineering and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sahney will join the Compliance Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee of Inogen’s board.
