GE HealthCare unveiled platform upgrade pathways to help customers modernize select legacy Innova and Discovery image guiding solutions (IGS) systems.

The company said these pathways provide access to Allia technologies and workflows that improve efficiency and procedural decision-making while preserving existing infrastructure, extending interventional room life, and minimizing clinical disruption. The upgrade pathways can help customers extend the value of existing systems with workflow enhancements, expanded interoperability, and access to Allia innovations while reducing infrastructure replacement needs and supporting long-term operational and sustainability goals.

Depending on system configuration, market availability, and regulatory requirements, upgrade options may provide access to new capabilities and third-party solutions:

  • CleaRecon DL AI-enabled deep learning reconstruction tech to reducing streak artifacts caused by blood flow during procedures
  • 3DStent 3D visualization of the coronary stent
  • OmnifyXR Interventional Suite augmented reality guidance
  • Embo ASSISR AI augmented guidance for embolization
  • Medis Quantitative Flow Ratio to assess coronary physiology
  • AVVIGO+ intravascular imaging (IVUS)

GE HealthCare will also offer Tube Watch and/or OnWatch Predict on all upgraded systems, using AI to estimate time to failure and help reduce unplanned downtime through proactive maintenance.

“Interventional care continues to evolve rapidly, and health systems are looking for technology strategies that balance innovation, operational continuity and long-term value,” said Jyoti Gera, CEO, CardioVascular and Interventional Solutions, Advanced Imaging Solutions, GE HealthCare. “These Allia upgrade pathways reflect our commitment to helping customers modernize on their own terms by extending the capabilities of existing systems while providing access to the latest Allia innovations and AI-enabled technologies in a less disruptive, more sustainable way.”
