FUJIFILM Sonosite Files Patent Suit Against Butterfly Network

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) firm FUJISILM Sonosite has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Butterfly Network in the U.S. District Court of Delaware, asserting seven patents relating to tech to acquire ultrasound images at the POC with portable, handheld systems.
 
The patents cover use of a probe couple to a mobile device, graphical interface elements, and aspects pertaining to ultrasound image processing and display.
 
FUJIFILM Sonosite seeks damages due to Butterfly Network’s unauthorized use, manufacture, promotion, and sale of Butterfly Network’s IQ/IQ+ POCUS products.
