Fujifilm Healthcare Americas has released its EG-840T treatment gastroscope and EG 840TP slim treatment gastroscope.

Both gastroscopes are part of the company’s next-gen 800 series portfolio powered by the company’s Eluxeo endoscopic imaging system. Eluxeo has LED multi-lights for better visualization.

Elexeo 800 series endoscopes feature intelligent CMOS image sensors to enable HD white light, Linked Color Imaging (LCI), and blue light imaging.

The EG-840T treatment gastroscope was designed to expand therapeutic capabilities while offering versatility during routine upper GI procedures. It’s engineered for stable control in larger lumens and has a 3.2 mm working channel to accommodate a range of therapeutic devices.

The company said precise distal end control is possible even in the most challenging treatment areas, with a reliable retroflex performance (210° up) and increased downward angulation (160°).

The EG-840TP slim treatment gastroscope supports emerging procedural techniques to treat upper GI conditions, particularly in narrow lumens when navigating strictures or tunneling in submucosal space. It features a 7.9 mm outer diameter and 3.2 mm working channel, expanded angulation (210° up/160° down), and a water jet.

“Fujifilm is fueled by its passion to advance patient care, and is committed to constantly innovating our leading-edge endoscopic solutions to meet our provider partners’ needs,” said Tai Fujita, vice president, Endoscopy Division, Fujifilm Healthcare Americas. “We’re looking forward to spending time with industry leaders at DDW to demonstrate how our next generation 800 line of gastroscopes delivers exceptional performance and unmatched visualization for even the most complex upper gastrointestinal (GI) procedures.”

“E-POEM and Z-POEM procedures present unique technical challenges due to the confined working space,” added Kenneth Chang, MD, the James & Pamela Muzzy Executive Medical Director Endowed Chair in GI Cancer at Hoag’s Digestive Health Institute in California. “The Fujifilm 800 Series slim treatment gastroscope affords greater ease and access in these spaces, while also maintaining high image quality and light modes. When these features combine with its larger working channel and exceptional maneuverability, this gastroscope becomes an important resource for endoscopists.”

In March, the company introduced to market the EN-840T Double Balloon Enteroscopy (DBE) scope, an endoscopic imaging technology that enables access to the entire small intestine for diagnosis and therapeutic intervention.
