Epicenter has selected five medtech startups to participate in the ZeroTo510 Accelerator, a nationally-recognized program that supports early-stage medtech founders looking to accelerate toward commercialization. Each participating company has developed breakthrough technologies aimed at addressing critical gaps in healthcare.
The ZeroTo510 Accelerator is known for its rigorous application process and attracting early-stage startups from across the country. The comprehensive 13-week go-to-market program is specifically designed to support medtech startups through essential business development stages. Participating companies receive a $25,000 investment.
The 2025 cohort was chosen from a diverse pool of applicants from 15 states spanning the breadth of the country, from San Francisco and Los Angeles, Houston, Austin, New Orleans, Miami, North Carolina, New York, and Memphis. The cohort includes:
Dichotics Inc. (Memphis)Dichotics Inc. has developed Audia Dichotics, a web-based software platform that screens for and treats unidentified auditory processing deficits in children and adults. By providing affordable, accessible services that can be scaled across schools and clinics, Dichotics Inc. aims to tackle an underserved and often misdiagnosed condition, improving educational and therapeutic outcomes.
Fluens Medical (Houston)Fluens Medical is developing a fully implantable, minimally invasive device to transform the treatment of ascites, a life-threatening complication of liver disease. By enabling continuous, controlled reinfusion of ascitic fluid, Fluens offers a safer alternative to repeated paracentesis and complex surgical interventions. The company’s solution is designed to dramatically improve quality of life, extend survival, and bridge more patients successfully to liver transplant.
NatureFound Biotech (Memphis)NatureFound Biotech is commercializing ChitoSeal, a resorbable dental membrane derived from natural polymers for guided tissue regeneration. Designed for oral surgeons and periodontists, ChitoSeal offers a biocompatible, effective and cost-efficient solution to accelerate bone and tissue healing in dental implant and reconstructive procedures.
Navigator Medical (Memphis)Navigator Medical has patented a needle guide designed to aid in the formation of buttonholes used for vascular access during dialysis. This device helps healthcare professionals establish consistent access points, refine workflows for dialysis clinics, and improve patient outcomes by minimizing fistula trauma.
Oya Medtech (Los Angeles)Oya MedTech develops patented underwear inserts that improve skin health and comfort for active individuals. Oya MedTech’s sister brand, Oya Femtech Apparel, delivers patented performance underwear designed to integrate this technology. Together, they’re making health monitoring seamless, accessible, and built into everyday wear.
“The medical device landscape is changing rapidly as new technologies emerge, and we’re really proud of the cohort we’ve put together this year that reflects many of those new breakthroughs,” said Olaf Schulz, director of the Zeroto510 Medtech programs at Epicenter. “These founders represent the future of healthcare innovation, and we’re excited to support them with our customized programming, resources, mentorship, and ecosystem that have helped our alumni companies thrive over the past decade.”
Throughout the program, participants receive intensive training in critical areas such as business planning, product development, navigating the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulatory landscape, reimbursement and payment strategies, quality and manufacturing, supply chain management, pitching and fundraising. This curriculum ensures participating companies are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of bringing medical technologies to market.
The Accelerator will culminate in a Demo Day in Memphis on Dec. 11, where participating companies will showcase their technologies to a diverse audience of investors, business leaders and alumni, providing a platform for growth and investment.
Since the program’s inception, ZeroTo510 alumni companies have raised more than $104 million.
According to a 2022 report by the Greater Memphis Medical Device Council, the medical device industry has a $4.1 billion impact on the Memphis region, or about 5.5% of the Memphis GDP with the Memphis medical device cluster directly or indirectly supporting more than 18,000 jobs in the Memphis area.
Epicenter leads the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Memphis area through a network of economic development, academic, corporate, and government partners by increasing support to new and existing innovative businesses, academic entrepreneurs, and others across industries and stages of growth. Epicenter and its partners connect these entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas to programming, capital, customers, and talent in order to create a just, inclusive, and growing economy that accrues to all Memphians.
