EvoEndo’s New Gastroscope Offers Sedation-Free Transnasal Endoscopy

EvoEndo Inc. (EvoEndo) has introduced the Model LE 85 Single-Use Gastroscope, which provides clinicians with a sedation-free option for conducting an upper gastrointestinal transnasal endoscopy (TNE).  
 
The Model LE 85 Single-Use Gastroscope offers maximum patient comfort and physician control when access to the duodenum is not required. It features a shorter shaft length and enhanced flexibility while maintaining all the functionality of the Model LE 110 Single-Use Gastroscope. Physicians can now choose the scope length most suitable for each procedure.

“I volunteered to scope myself as part of an educational event and was surprised at how comfortable the Model LE 85 Gastroscope was,” Phoenix-based pediatric gastroenterologist Paul Tran, M.D., said. “The flexibility of the 85 cm is excellent, while the 110 cm enables me to do a full EGD when necessary. Perfect combo!” 
 
Since gaining U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for the EvoEndo Model LE 110 Single-Use Gastroscope in February 2022, two upgraded models have been released that provide enhanced imaging, ergonomics, and steering. The Model LE 85 Single-Use Gastroscope elevates the EvoEndo Endoscopy System’s capabilities and expands clinical indications, according to EvoEndo.

EvoEndo claims to be the only medical device company dedicated to pediatric (age 5+) gastroenterology patients and designed the EvoEndo Single-Use Endoscopy System for small anatomy and sedation-free procedures. The EvoEndo Model LE Gastroscope is intended to visualize the upper digestive tract in adults and pediatric patients, specifically for the observation, diagnosis, and endoscopic treatment of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenal bulb in patients older than five. The gastroscope is a sterile, single-use device and can be inserted orally or transnasally. The EvoEndo Controller is intended for use with an EvoEndo Endoscope for endoscopic diagnosis, treatment, and video observation.
