Dentsply Sirona Names BD Exec Simon Campion as President, CEO

Dentsply Sirona has appointed Simon Campion as its new president and CEO, replacing interim CEO John Groetelaars who has served since April. Campion will begin his role on September 12.
 
Campion was most recently executive VP and president of BD’s (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Medical segment. Prior to that he was president of the Interventional segment after BD’s purchase of C.R. Bard. He held several leadership roles there, including leading the Surgery business.
 
With Campion’s hiring, the Board requested full review of the company’s business and operations.
