Control Flo Medical LLC, a urological medical device company in Alabama and developer of the ResQ Catheter System, has forged a design and supply agreement with Degania Silicone Ltd. of Bet, Israel. The ResQ Urological Catheter System is a patented, revolutionary technology and a first-in-class urinary blockage and drainage catheter. The ResQ Catheter System represents a new technology for indwelling and intermittent catheter users. Control Flo Medical’s founder Henry Allison Barnett obtained two patents around the ResQ Catheter System, which are owned by Control Flo Medical LLC. “We are pleased to partner with a leader in medical device manufacturing, Degania Silicone, a company with catheter expertise in all-development phases, including a design and manufacturing team that provides customer-support around the globe,” said Philip White, chief operating officer of Control Flo Medical. Degania Silicone is one of the world’s leading groups specializing in the supply of indwelling medical catheters, silicone medical products and medical devices for critical care and operating rooms, as well as direct-to-customer products. Degania has six production facilities located in France, India, Slovakia, and Israel. “We are very excited about working together with the Control Flo Medical team to reach commercialization regarding Control Flo Medical’s ResQ catheters. Our design and manufacturing technologies compliment the ResQ concepts very well. We are looking forward to a successful partnership with Control Flo Medical and are excited about improving patient care and outcomes,” said Louis Weijers, Degania’s vice president of sales and marketing for North America. Late last year, Qure Medical of Twinsburg, Ohio, announced it had entered into an agreement to purchase Degania Silicone Ltd, via financing provided by London-based venture capital firm 3i. Degania represents a transformative acquisition for Q Holding. The combined businesses offer complete product lifecycle management with assembly, packaging and outsourcing needs with a network of operations to bring the supply chain close to the consumption point.
