Vizient has hired Dan Salzman, Ph.D., as chief marketing officer, a role in which he will develop and lead the company’s go-to-market strategy for delivering value to clients.
“Dan brings a unique blend of experience in commercial marketing, data-driven decision making and digital engagement for both large-scale consumer and tech-driven B2B environments, all of which position him to help elevate Vizient’s market position and drive strategic growth,” Vizient CEO Byron Jobe stated. “Dan’s addition to the executive leadership team will strengthen our organization as we work with clients and suppliers on the transformation of healthcare in our country.”
Before joining Vizient, Dr. Salzman was senior vice president and Business Unit CMO for HP’s $4.5 billion Workforce Solutions division. Over his 16-year career at HP, he held several global and regional marketing leadership roles including global head of Media, Insights and Data Science; and CMO for the Americas. Before that, Dr. Salzman held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, after starting out at Kraft Foods and Quaker Oats.
Dr. Salzman earned a Ph.D. in social/personality psychology from Lehigh University and a bachelor of science degree in experimental psychology from Liberty University.
