Cretex Medical Purchases Certain Assets of Holland Molds

Cretex Medical has acquired select assets and capabilities of Holland Molds Inc. in Wadena, Minn. Neither company disclosed the deal’s terms.

“Providing design and build support for high-quality tooling is essential for serving our strategic customers,” Cretex Medical CDT President Steve Williams said. “Cretex has a long history with Holland Molds; when this opportunity arose to add this capacity to our current in-house abilities, we jumped at the chance.”

Known for its excellent quality and dedication to customer satisfaction, Holland provides sophisticated tooling for plastic injection molding. The transaction closed on June 10.

Cretex Medical offers precision-molded components and assemblies for numerous medical devices across multiple markets. “We’ve built a scalable manufacturing platform around capabilities our customers value most,” Cretex Companies Chief Operating Officer Nick Morrison stated. “Holland’s expertise strengthens that foundation and positions us for continued growth.”

Operations at the Wadena facility will continue in alignment with other Cretex Medical locations.

Cretex Companies has been privately owned by the same family for more than a century. Headquartered in Elk River, Minn., Cretex employs over 2,400 workers at facilities in the United States and Costa Rica. Under the Cretex Medical brand, the company’s subsidiaries CDT, QTS, and rms provide contract manufacturing and engineering services to medical device manufacturers (OEMs). Cretex Materials and Cretex Specialty Products are considered leaders in the infrastructure industry.
