Consensus Orthopedics to Use Materialise’s Knee Guide System

Officials with Materialise NV, a provider of 3-D software and printing solutions, as well as a developer of medical image-based knee guide technology, report that Consensus Orthopedics Inc. will use the Knee Guide System from Materialise.

The Materialise Knee Guide System, a solution consisting of 3-D surgical planning software and patient-specific surgical guides for knee surgery, allows surgeons to “efficiently and accurately plan knee surgeries based on the patient’s unique anatomy and structural damage,” according to officials from Materialise. Based on that pre-operative plan, patient-specific guides are designed and 3-D printed for use during surgery.
