C&J Industries Celebrates Milestones

Company expansion and anniversary mark the start of 2012.

C&J Industries Inc., based in Meadville, Pa., is celebrating a few notable milestones. 2012 marks the company’s anniversary. In addition, C&J recently completed its largest expansion.

The $6.8 million expansion and renovation of the company has increased the company’s Class VIII clean room molding and assembly space by more than 50 percent. The new “white” assembly room offers a complete suite of secondary services such as pad printing, sonic welding, heat staking, leak-testing, manual and automated assembly. C&J now has a new 12,000-square-foot white room molding area housing 17 presses. The company has purchased “additional best-in-class, all-electric molding presses, which have greatly improved process control and reduced energy consumption,” according to a news release.

C&J now has 42 presses ranging from 20 ton to 720 tons of clamping pressure, as well as its own in-house tool shop, which the company claims has “some of the highest speed and closest tolerance machining capabilities in the industry.”

The press release also noted that the company will be featured on the program “21st Century Business” on the Fox Business Network on Saturday, Feb. 4th as paid programming. This series will focus on Innovations in plastic injection molding.

C&J Industries provides contract manufacturing and plastic injection molding, specializing in complex, high-precision injection molded components and assemblies for medical OEMs.
