Butterfly Network Launches iQ+ Bladder in U.S.

Butterfly Network has launched its first specialty product, iQ+ Bladder, in the U.S.
 
The bundled system includes an iQ+ Bladder probe, software, compact rolling cart, tablet, and power splitter. The ultrasound-based bladder scanner can help nurses get automated bladder volume calculations in seconds, with 3D visualizations.
 
The probe is powered by Butterfly’s Ultrasound-on-Chip technology and is durably constructed for daily use, according to the company. The rolling cart has storage space and a probe charging dock. A large tablet is mounted to the cart, with tilted brackets that rotate 360° and pan 180° for the best possible viewing and positioning.
 
The probe’s paired software was engineered for nurses’ and other providers’ needs for regularly conducting bladder scans. iQ+ Bladder’s user-friendly interface requires no login or configurations to quickly, intuitively access scans.
 
The solution also offers walkthrough guidance to properly place the probe. It leverages advanced bladder visualization like 3D rendering as well to confirm true bladder anatomy.

Earlier this month, Butterfly Network’s iQ+ ultrasound system received EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
