BioSig Brings on Former AtriCure Executive as New CEO

New hire brings 27 years of cardiovascular market experience to the table.

BioSig Technologies Inc., a medical device company that makes technology solutions for the electrophysiology market, announced today the appointment of David J. Drachman as president, CEO and chairman of the board, effective immediately. Drachman transitions leadership from co-founder and board member Kenneth L. Londoner.

Drachman brings 27 years of leadership in the cardiovascular medical device industry to BioSig. Most recently, he served as president, CEO and director of AtriCure Inc., a leader in the surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF). During his tenure, the AtriCure team expanded their product portfolio from one to six unique platforms and had grown from a startup to a market leader with distribution channels in more than 30 countries. Drachman also held key executive positions at Biosense Webster and led the company’s initial commercialization process. Electrophysiology company Biosense Webster is now owned by Johnson & Johnson. Additionally, David served as acting CEO, worldwide president and director of Impulse Dynamics, and had high-level positions at Ventritex and Boston Scientific.
