Biomet Names Daniel P. Florin CFO

Hip and knee replacement products company Biomet Inc. said Monday it named Daniel P. Florin senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Florin will take the position June 5. He replaces Greg Hartman, who resigned in March.

Florin has been vice president and corporate controller for Boston Scientific Corp. for the last six years. He has 16 years of financial officer and controller experience and 5 years of public accounting and auditing experience in the medical device industry, Biomet said.

Shares of Biomet added a penny to $43.43 in afternoon trading.
