BD Promotes Brooke Story to President of Surgery Business

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) has promoted Brooke Story to president of its Surgery business, effective on July 3. Story is currently president of Integrated Diagnostic Solutions in the BD Life Sciences business.
 
“Brooke has spent more than two decades in this industry with proven leadership capabilities that help address unmet needs in health care,” BD executive VP and president of Interventional Rick Byrd told the press. “She led IDS with a relentless focus on the core business and transformative solutions, supporting growth along the diagnostic continuum from specimen management to molecular diagnostics and informatics to microbiology. As president of our fast-growing Surgery business, she will be uniquely positioned to expand our impact as we deliver innovative solutions and products to surgeons around the globe.”
 
Story joined BD in 2021. She previously worked at Medtronic, where she most recently led its Pelvic Health and Gastric Therapies business. Story holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
