Bausch & Lomb has delayed the filing of its second-quarter report with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, according to Reuters News Service.
The Rochester, NY-based eye care and device manufacturer had an August 10 deadline to file. Bausch & Lomb has still yet to report recent quarterly reports including its 2005 annual report.
The company said it would specify reasons for the delay in a separate regulatory filing.
Bausch & Lomb said that filing would also describe preliminary first-half 2006 financial information, anticipated performance for 2006 and 2007, and work to be completed before the company can file its 2005 annual report and reports for the third quarter of 2005 and first quarter of 2006.
Separately, Bausch & Lomb said that in connection with the withdrawal of its MoistureLoc product, it would record a valuation allowance in 2005 with respect to U.S. deferred tax assets previously recorded on its balance sheet.
