AtriCure Reports 1st Use of Newest AtriClip LAA Exclusion System

AtriCure announced the first use of its newest AtriClip device for minimally invasive concomitant procedures, the AtriClip PRO-Mini LAA (left atrial appendage) exclusion system.

AtriClip PRO-Mini, which received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance earlier this year, is preloaded with the smallest surgical LAA management implant available on the market, according to the company. The implant is 60% smaller than the next lowest profile AtriClip device.

The size reduction offers enhanced visualization for precise, secure exclusion of the LAA during minimally invasive procedures. AtriClip PRO-Mini features omnidirectional head articulation, end effector lock, ambidextrous lever release trigger, and streamlined applier removal as well.
