Aerocrine Appoints new Head of U.S. Operations

Kenneth Marshall joins Aerocrine from Ikaria.

Aerocrine AB, a medical technology company based in Solna, Sweden, has appointed Ken Marshall as president of U.S. operations effective immediately.

Marshall has 20 years of experience in drug and medical device specialty business global commercial operations. He comes from a sales and marketing background, but has experience in health economic/payer strategy and business development as well. Prior to joining Aerocrine, Marshall served as vice president of marketing at Ikaria, a critical care company, where he was responsible for the commercialization of a combination product indicated for the treatment of neonatal hypoxic respiratory failure. He also managed new product strategy and device evolution. Previously, he was vice president of marketing at GlaxoSmithKline, where he launched and commercialized drug products. He has also held marketing positions at Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson, and General Electric.

Marshall earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Western Carolina University and an MBA from Houston Baptist University.

Aerocrine was attracted to Marshall due to his experience in the respiratory market.

“Ken will report to me as the president of the U.S. subsidiary and will be a member of my executive leadership team. The U.S. will be our largest market and we have seen a real need to accelerate our activities there. We have spent the last several months gearing up for sustainable growth and this marks a real change of our senior talent to achieve our corporate goals,” said Scott Myers, CEO of Aerocrine.

Outside of Sweden, Aerocrine has offices in the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. The company markets markets Niox Mino, a hand-held measurement device that manages airway inflammation.
