July 18, 2024
By: Michael Barbella
Managing Editor
AdaptHealth Corp. has appointed Dale Wolf as board chairman, succeeding Richard Barasch. Wolf has served on the company’s board since November 2019.
“I am thrilled to assume the role and look forward to working alongside Suzanne [Foster] and her team to leverage the momentum in our business as we continue to improve the lives of millions of people who rely on us,” Wolf said.
Wolf has served as a Molina Healthcare Inc. board member since 2013 and has chaired the governing body since 2017. He was president and CEO of Onecall Care Management Inc. from January 2016 to February 2019 and was executive chairman from September 2015 to January 2016. Wolf served as president and CEO of DBW Healthcare Inc. from January 2014 to June 2018. He was the executive chairman of Correctional Healthcare Companies Inc., a national provider of correctional health care solutions, from December 2012 to July 2014. From 2005 to 2009, Wolf was CEO of Coventry Health Care Inc., a diversified national health care company, and served as executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of Coventry from 1996 to 2005. He was also a member of the Boards of Directors of Correctional Healthcare Companies Inc. from 2012 to 2014, Coventry Healthcare from 2005 to 2009, and Catalyst Health Solutions Inc. from 2003 to 2012.
Wolf earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics (with honors) from Eastern Nazarene College and furthered his education by attending the MIT Sloan School Senior Executive Program. He has also been a fellow in the Society of Actuaries since 1979.
In addition to sharing Wolf’s appointment, the company also announced that AdaptHealth President and board member Josh Parnes will step down from both of his roles. He will leave his president position on Aug. 31 and his board seat on Dec. 31. “Founding Adapt and helping it become the leading provider of HME, is a source of immense pride. With Suzanne as CEO, I am confident the company is in excellent hands and will continue to innovate, grow, and deliver patient-focused best-in class care,” Parnes stated.
Parnes joined AdaptHealth Holdings in 2013 with the acquisition of Ocean Home Health and was appointed president of AdaptHealth Holdings in August 2017. He has served on the board since the acquisition closed.
“Josh has been an integral part of AdaptHealth’s success over the past decade,” Wolf commented. “His leadership as President was instrumental to the growth of the company and the furthering of our mission. We wish Josh the best and sincerely thank him for his contributions.”
