Cutera Inc. has welcomed two new members to its senior leadership team, appointing Chris House as chief technology officer (CTO) and Charles Hunt as vice president of Design and Experience.

As CTO, House will lead Cutera’s global technology and product development strategy, focusing on advancing the company’s product pipeline with transformative solutions. He has more than 25 years of experience in research and development, building, launching, and scaling successful consumer products, SaaS platforms, and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solutions across healthcare and enterprise environments. House has led large, global engineering teams, driving end-to-end innovation from concept through commercialization.

Most recently serving as CTO at HealthAxis, House led enterprise-wide AI strategy, cloud transformation, and the development of advanced healthcare platforms designed to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. His leadership spanned global teams of hundreds of engineers and product leaders, delivering strategic innovation at scale.

“Chris’s appointment represents a pivotal step in Cutera’s evolution, as we continue to raise the bar for the industry,” Cutera Interim CEO Ron Louks said. “His expertise will help us rethink and advance our product portfolio, developing treatment solutions that are more intelligent, integrated, and aligned with the goals of our providers and their patients.”

As vice president of Design and Experience, Hunt will lead Cutera’s global user experience strategy with a focus on product design, optimization, and enhancing the company’s digital ecosystem to better serve customers. He has more than 25 years of experience leading multidisciplinary design, marketing, and innovation teams across healthcare and consumer technology. Hunt has a strong track record of translating user insights into impactful product experiences, driving adoption and market success.

Before joining Cutera, Hunt was vice president of User Experience at NantHealth, where he led the modernization of design systems across multiple product lines, improving usability and enhancing outcomes for more than half a million enterprise users. He has also held leadership roles at BlackBerry, HTC, and Sony Ericsson, contributing to globally recognized, award-winning product designs.

“Charles brings a unique ability to connect user needs with business strategy,” Louks stated. “His leadership will help define a more unified and thoughtful experience across our portfolio, ensuring every interaction with Cutera is purposeful, intuitive, and designed to better support practices and clinics worldwide.”

In addition to these strategic appointments, Cutera is strengthening its research and development organization as part of a broader commitment to advancing innovation across the company. Together, House and Hunt will partner closely to drive the development of modern user-centered solutions and bring a new perspective to the way Cutera designs, builds, and delivers technology that elevates the aesthetics and dermatology industry.

“Cutera is entering an exciting next phase as a global company,” Cutera Chief Commercial Officer Brent Hauser commented. “By combining results-driven treatments with a strong product and clinical foundation, we have an opportunity to deliver high-performance devices that create real value for providers and patients alike.”
