Senseonics announced further data from a large real-world evidence study of its Eversense 365 implantable continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system.

The study demonstrated sustained accuracy, performance, and positive impact of Eversense 365 in both open-loop and closed-loop systems. The findings were presented during an oral presentation entitled ‘Real-World Evaluation of the Implantable One-Year Eversense 365 CGM System’ at the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) 2026 Scientific Sessions.

Senseonics said the extended dataset confirms Eversense 365’s positive real-world impact with a full year of strong patient adherence, glucometrics, and hypoglycemic outcomes. The system provided comparable adherence and outcomes between the first and second six-month period.

“This real-world data showcases the positive impact that Eversense 365 is bringing to patients, regardless of their preferred treatment plan,” said Francine Kaufman, MD, chief medical officer at Senseonics. “The analysis shows Eversense 365 is delivering consistent and tangible benefits for people on either an open or closed loop system, giving patients and healthcare providers more choice and more confidence when using our differentiated CGM. This is vital because everyone’s experience with diabetes is different. Eversense 365 performs exceptionally well over an extended period and data suggests its use with twiist was favorable compared to what has been reported for other AID systems in real world settings. We look forward to reporting more real-world evidence on Eversense and the AID combination as our userbase expands.”

There was an average transmitter wear time of 93.19% across 12,360 sensors. On average, users had a mean glucose management indicator (GMI) of 7.16% and a mean time in range of 66.16% Over 81% of Eversense 365 users reached hypoglycemic targets.

The analysis also included a further 153 sensors used in combination with the twiist AID system for over 30 days. People using both systems had a mean time in range of about 76.08% and a GMI of 6.78% after the first 30 days following pump pairing. Users had a median sensor wear time of 99.46%.

“We’re delighted to be able to share this new data and our additional findings with the diabetes community at ADA, said Senseonics chief commercial officer Brian Hansen. “The fact that a single CGM sensor can deliver consistent performance across the first half and second half of a full year is outstanding. It validates the technology we have on the market today, in Eversense 365, and it validates our exciting product pipeline that is based on the same fundamental science. There is nothing more powerful than real-world evidence and this, alongside excellent anecdotal feedback, is galvanizing the Senseonics team as commercial momentum continues to grow.”

The company rolled out Eversense 365 in Europe in April.
