Jabil Inc. has embarked upon a non-exclusive strategic collaboration with HSE•AG (HSE), an engineering provider specializing in life sciences and diagnostic instrumentation, to support the early design and development of instruments for diagnostic and life sciences OEMs.

“Working with experienced manufacturing partners such as Jabil allows us to extend our development capabilities toward scalable production environments,” said Felix Westhoff, head of Business Unit Engineering at HSE. “Together, we can support diagnostic and life sciences companies in translating complex technologies into robust, manufacturable instruments.”

The collaboration combines Jabil’s global healthcare manufacturing capabilities with HSE’s specialized development expertise in laboratory instrumentation and diagnostics. By connecting product design with manufacturing considerations from the earliest development stages, companies can streamline the transition to scalable production while addressing manufacturability and supply chain optimization.

“Diagnostic companies are moving toward outsourced production to reduce costs and maximize their in-house capacity. Jabil’s expertise makes us a trusted, safe pair of hands to develop and build instruments that bring OEMs’ diagnostic capabilities to practitioners and patients. Our agreement with HSE supports that mission,” stated Mike Mahaz, senior vice president of Global Business Units, Healthcare, at Jabil. “Through this collaboration, Jabil and HSE can help improve product manufacturability and establish resilient supply chains to reduce time-to-market and improve sustainability.”
