Brightseed Inc. has launched an innovation platform, reportedly the first continuous, AI-powered health sciences innovation program designed to boost commercial success in the health and life sciences.

With the debut, Brightseed evolves from a discovery-focused bioactives company into a platform-based enterprise AI firm delivering data-as-a-service (DaaS) to global health science organizations. The business evolution is built on the technology and lessons that has allowed Brightseed to produce the first clinically validated, AI-discovered compounds in the commercial market.

Across health and life sciences, more than 75% of early product ideas fail to reach the market due to fragmented workflows, disconnected data, and late-stage risk discovery. Innovation has historically been structured as episodic project work rather than a connected, compounding capability.

Brightseed’s innovation platform rebuilds that model from the ground up. It connects discovery, development, and commercialization in a unified architecture that preserves scientific insight, evidence, and decision context across the innovation lifecycle—transforming innovation from a gamble into a strategic growth engine.

At its core is Forager, Brightseed’s AI-powered discovery engine built on the world’s largest proprietary bioactive dataset spanning more than 11 million natural compounds across 23 health territories. Unlike general-purpose AI systems trained on public data, Brightseed’s platform is grounded in proprietary biological intelligence designed specifically for scientific rigor, traceability, and defensibility.

“Health innovation has operated on a broken probability curve for decades,” Brightseed Co-Founder/CEO Lee Chae, Ph.D., said. “We built our innovation platform to fundamentally change that curve. By converging deep biological insight, proprietary multi-omics datasets, and cutting-edge AI and machine learning architecture into a continuous innovation foundation, we are defining a new category—one where AI is not an add-on, but the core operating foundation of life sciences innovation.”

Brightseed enters this phase with more than 40 partnerships and is transitioning customers to a recurring subscription model aligned with its platform strategy. The company serves the $6.8 trillion global wellness market and is expanding its enterprise footprint as it prepares for its next growth phase.

Backed by more than 40 partners, Brightseed exists to empower health science teams with the foundation needed to advance science, develop better products, and ultimately transform health through AI. The company combines biology, the world’s largest proprietary dataset, and more than a decade of computational science expertise with a shared commitment to illuminating biology and translating scientific insight into real-world impact. Brightseed’s work is guided by the belief that better health outcomes require clarity, precision, and an integrated approach to innovation.
