Nissha Medical Technologies (NMT) has officially broken ground on a new 50,000-square-foot, purpose-built facility in Wisconsin that will significantly expand the company’s micro molding operations and capacity to support growing demand for miniaturized, precision-molded components.

The new building will support NMT’s growth in the precision molding market and house a combination of relocated equipment from existing facilities along with new machining, automation, and injection molding systems. Once complete, the expansion will more than double NMT’s capacity across tool making, automation, development, and injection molding.

“We are very excited about this expansion, as it allows us to continue supporting the growing demands of our customers by leveraging our team’s skillset and technical expertise,” said Justin Zubricky, NMT vice president of Operations. “This is the next step in our journey to push the boundaries of precision micro molding applications, and we’re excited to continue growing this operation in New Richmond.”

The New Richmond, Wis., expansion strengthens NMT’s ability to support customers with increased production scale and the continued development of new technologies, according to company leaders. Located approximately 45 minutes east of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area—a leading hub for medical device innovation—the site enables close collaboration with a dense network of medtech OEMs. The purpose-built design supports tighter integration of processes while maintaining NMT’s vertically integrated model, including the close alignment between its in-house tool shop and molding operations.

Groundbreaking took place on May 7, and executives expect the building to be completed in April 2027. The company will spend the rest of 2027 integrating equipment and scaling operations to full capacity.

The project also represents a significant investment in the local community. NMT plans to hire at least 25 additional employees over the next several years and will invest millions of dollars in capital to support long-term growth at the site.

By expanding its New Richmond footprint, NMT is reinforcing its broader company strategy to grow its presence in miniaturization-driven markets, while providing customers with the infrastructure, capacity, and technical foundation needed to support next-generation medical and precision applications.
