GE HealthCare Launches AI-Enabled Ultrasound Series for Women’s Health

GE HealthCare has launched its Voluson Performance series, the newest addition to its women’s health ultrasound portfolio.

The Voluson Performance 18 and 16 were designed for detailed imaging and simplifying workflow with artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools. The ultrasounds, according to the company, provide modern, innovative tech to help with efficient care in a wide range of applications.

New features like Auto live make automatic gain adjustments for better image uniformity. When combined with Shadow Reduction, it aims to provide clear, consistent imaging across exams.

A comprehensive probe portfolio provides improved imaging in 2D and 3D, developed to meet the evolving needs of women’s health imaging. Integrated wireless Vscan Air probes support bedside scanning. An updated touch panel interface features a voice-activated “Hey Voluson” feature for hands-free control.

The SonoLyst suite of tools identify fetal anatomy seen on standard views and then automatically annotate and measure, where applicable, and with SonoLystlive images can be captured in real time. Features like SonoPelvicFloor use guided workflow and AI to help users achieve consistent, reproducible exam results.
