GC Aesthetics (GCA) has appointed Luigi Ferrari as non-executive board chairman and Patrick Lee as a board director. These appointments follow a renewed partnership phase the company initiated early last year with longstanding investor Hayfin Capital Management.

“We are delighted to welcome Luigi and Patrick to the Board of GC Aesthetics,” GCA CEO Carlos Reis Pinto said. “Their experience, strategic acumen, and commitment to patient-centered innovation will be instrumental as we accelerate our growth and strengthen our global leadership.”

A seasoned executive and investor with a proven track record in the healthcare sector, Ferrari brings deep leadership experience, commercial growth expertise, and industry insight to his board chairman role. From 2012 to 2022 he was CEO of Lima Corporate, a global medical device company in the joint replacement market, acquired then by Enovis Corporation. His previous working experience includes several roles within Orthofix, the most recent being president of Global Orthopedics.

Ferrari earned a M.Sc. in management engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan and successfully completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

As non-executive chairman, Ferrari will provide strategic oversight and support GCA’s mission in the breast aesthetics and reconstruction sector.

Lee has a solid background in building and scaling successful businesses internationally. Over the last three decades, he has held senior roles at Advent Venture Partners and Ares Life Sciences, investment funds specializing in healthcare and at global pharma companies.

Lee earned a bachelor of arts degree from Vassar College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. His broad experience and perspective will further enhance GCA’s ability to deliver on its global ambitions.

GC Aesthetics develops, manufactures, and markets proprietary aesthetic and reconstructive products. Throughout its 40-year history, GCA has been dedicated to advancing the science of medical aesthetics and delivering high-quality breast implants for breast augmentation and breast reconstructive surgery. The company has sold more than 3 million implants across 70 countries, and its products are supported by published 10-year clinical data.
