GE Healthcare is introducing Revolution Vibe, a new CT system with Unlimited One-Beat Cardiac Imaging. The technology aims to deliver consistent, high-quality images even in challenging cases like atrial fibrillation (AFib) and heavily calcified coronaries.

The company will introduce Revolution Vibe at this year’s American College of Cardiology (ACC) meeting.

Unlimited One-Beat Cardiac Imaging provides clear, full heart images at a low dose. The company said it will improve access to cardiac CT angiography (CCTA) for patients with AFib, breath-holding difficulties, heavily calcified coronaries, in-stent restenosis, and cases without and ECG trace.

Tools like TrueFidelity DL images for cardiac and SnapShot Freeze 2 provide Revolution Vibe users with impressive image quality with motion-free images. The system also offers ECG-less Cardiac to improve patient access and simplify preparation for exams without an ECG connection. This is ideal when speed is a priority or the ECG signal is unavailable.

Effortless Cardiac Workflow leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically select protocols and position the patient. GE HealthCare said in a clinical evaluation, the one-step decision tree workflow reduced exam time by 50%, freeing up four minutes of radiologists’ time per study. It also reduced patient preparation by up to five minutes per scan, due to reduced positioning time, minimized use of beta blockers, and removing the need for an ECG connection when needed.

“Expanding access to CCTA is crucial for managing the rising prevalence of CVD, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses for a larger patient population,” said Jean-Luc Procaccini, President and CEO, Molecular Imaging and Computed Tomography, GE HealthCare. “Our introduction of Revolution Vibe underscores our commitment to this mission. The system is designed to encourage the broader adoption of and access to cardiac imaging, combining advanced technology with AI-powered solutions to deliver fast, accurate diagnoses and a more comfortable patient experience. It is designed to empower healthcare providers to offer the highest quality care, even in the most challenging cases.”
