This past week, multiple OEM companies made some exciting announcements, including FDA clearances, data results, funding, and personnel changes. 

The FDA granted de novo clearance to SonoMotion’s Stone Clear device for the anesthesia-free treatment of post-lithotripsy kidney stone fragments. This is reportedly the only device using non-invasive ultrasound pulses to facilitate the passage of kidney stone fragments post-lithotripsy.

SetPoint Medical announced positive data from its REST_RA study, which supports the SetPoint System’s potential as a first-of-its-kind neuroimmune modulation treatment for moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This is an implantable, rechargeable neurostimulation device that electrically stimulates the vagus nerve which can be programmed to a daily on a preset schedule to improve adherence and persistence with therapy.

Zenflow has closed a $24 million Series C financing round that includes new investor Cook Medical as well as existing support from other investors. Funding will help support a PMA submission of minimally invasive treatment for enlarged prostate symptoms.

Ceribell has added Kristie Rodenbush and Brian Price to its executive management team. Rodenbush serves as Chief People Officer, and Price serves as the Senior VP of Marketing. Both Rodenbush and Price will help drive company growth initiatives.
