Velentium Promotes COO Matt Hanks to Chief Exec

Velentium, a contract design and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in active implantable medical devices, has announced two key personnel appointments.

Matt Hanks, who was formerly the company’s chief operating officer (COO) has been promoted to CEO. Co-founder and former CEO Dan Purvis will transition to the role of board chair.

Hanks joined Velentium as COO this year, bringing with him over 30 years of operations expertise in strategic growth and operational efficiency. He began his career at Form Technologies, where he progressed through positions in supply chain, operations, and IT. After this, he was appointed to senior leadership roles at Paragon Medical, United Technologies, and General Electric.

Dan Purvis co-founded Velentium in 2012. He will continue to guide the company’s strategic direction in his board chair role.

The company’s core competencies include active implantable medical devices, systems engineering, firmware/software, cybersecurity, mobile/cloud, electrical/mechanical engineering, human factors/usability, automated test systems, and CGMP manufacturing.
