CMR Surgical Hires New President & CCO of Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa

CMR Surgical, maker of the Versius surgical robotic system, has appointed Sushobhan Dasgupta as its new president and chief commercial officer for Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
 
Dasgupta has spent three decades with Johnson & Johnson MedTech. He was most recently vice chairman and global president at Shalby Limited, a leading Indian healthcare group, where he was mainly responsible for driving Shalby’s acquired orthopedic implant business.
 
At J&J MedTech, Dasgupta was a member of the J&J Orthopedics global board and the J&J Asia Pacific MedTech leadership team. His last two roles at J&J were managing director of J&J Medical India and VP of Orthopaedics at J&J Asia Pacific.
 
He was also president of NATHEALTH, a healthcare association of India representing hospitals, medtech companies, diagnostic companies, and other businesses under one platform.

Earlier this month, the company launched vLimeLite, an integrated fluorescence imaging system to visualize ICG (Indocyanine green).
