Envoy Medical Inc. has been awarded three patents—two from U.S. authorities and one from European officials.

The patents are as follows:

  • U.S. Patent No. 11,839,765: “Cochlear Implant System with Integrated Signal Analysis Functionality.”
  • US Patent No. 11,865,339: “Cochlear Implant System with Electrode Impedance Diagnostics.”
  • European Patent No. 3927420: “Implantable Cochlear System with Integrated Components and Lead Characterization.”
“Investors, patients, and industry professionals may notice that Envoy Medical continues to grow its intellectual property portfolio as we provide patients with innovative hearing solutions,” Envoy Medical CEO Brent Lucas said. “We believe our system’s design will allow us an opportunity to separate ourselves from others and provide patients with a new hearing option.”

Headquartered in White Bear Lake, Minn., Envoy Medical develops hearing-related technologies. Its fully implanted Acclaim Cochlear Implant features a sensor designed to leverage the ear’s natural anatomy rather than a microphone to capture sound. Intended to address severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss that is not adequately addressed by hearing aids, the Acclaim Cochlear Implant received U.S. Food and Drug Administration Breakthrough Device Designation in 2019.

The fully implanted Acclaim Cochlear Implant is an investigational device.
