This past month, company acquisitions, new devices, and device approvals were popular among readers. 
 
In the past month, DuPont began the process of acquiring Donatelle Plastics, a medical device contract manufacturer that specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of medical components and devices.
 
Boston Scientific also began a deal to acquire Silk Road Medical at a value of about $1.16 billion. Boston Scientific anticipates the deal to close in H2 2024.
 
Insulet launched the Omnipod 5 automated insulin delivery (AID) system with Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitor (CGM) in the U.S. The company also launched a limited release of a connecting app. 
 
The FDA approved of Roche’s whole-slide imaging system for the Roche Digital Pathology Dx. The system is meant to help pathologists review and interpret digital images of scanned pathology slides to aid in patient diagnoses.
