David Schnur Associates (DSA), a global supplier of outsourced technical sales and marketing services for the medical device and life science industries, recently announced an exclusive, multi-year strategic agreement with Analytical Components International (ACI). ACI is a manufacturer of custom sapphire lenses for the industrial, medical, and life science industries.

This strategic alliance will expand DSA customer access to sapphire windows for medical device applications, as well as PEEK fittings for life science applications such as HPLC.

“We’re very impressed with the technical team at ACI,” said DSA CEO Barry Schnur. “They have decades of experience and are wizards at grinding specialty components. They’re also laser-focused on delivering quick-turn hard material components in specialty markets, and they’re small and flexible enough to support customers with responsive service.”

There has been an increased use of high-precision vision systems for endoscopy which has driven demand for optical window materials such as synthetic sapphire. Synthetic sapphire allows for clear visualization of internal body structures and tissues during medical procedures.

“We’re excited to partner with DSA and deliver even greater value to customers,” said Jon Bohlin, Senior Director of Operations and Manufacturing at ACI. “Our combined expertise and dedication to excellence create a great opportunity to expand our reach and achieve mutual growth.”

“We have a long-standing relationship with ACI through Jim White, an industry veteran and DSA’s life science specialist,” Schnur said. “This partnership is an important part of our investment in growing our solutions to better serve the medical device and life science markets.”
