J&J, Microsoft Partner to Further Enable Digital Surgery

Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies began collaborating with Microsoft to expand its secure and compliant digital surgery ecosystem. Microsoft Cloud will help J&J’s vision to advance skills, improve workflow, and enhance surgical decision making for better customer experience and improved outcomes.
 
J&J’s medtech comprises robotics, instrumentation, advanced imaging and visualization, data and analytics, AI, machine learning, and digital solutions. It’s important to establish connectivity between all elements with an interconnected network that meets surgeons where they are in workflow, and patients where they are in the healthcare journey.

Microsoft will become J&J’s preferred cloud provider for digital surgery solutions and help the company build out its digital surgery platform and IoT device connectivity. Patient outcomes aim to be improve through AI, machine learning, and data insights. Device connectivity, insights, and intelligence will be increased using Microsoft’s Azure IoT and Edge Computing.
 
Azure’s capabilities and services will also be used to boost the pace of J&J’s digital surgery innovation and transformation.
