Siemens Healthineers, SSM Health Begin 10-Year Partnership

Siemens Healthineers and SSM Health began a 10-year strategic partnership that aims to expand access to high-quality care and train the next generation of healthcare professionals. According to Siemens, this agreement creates its largest geographic strategic partnership to date.
 
SSM Health is a healthcare delivery system that serves communities across the Midwest via a value-driven care model. Siemens Healthineers will provide SSM Health with access to its latest innovations and best practices in diagnostic imaging, technology, and software. The company will also offer education and further on-site support.
 
The two companies plan to boost quality, efficiency, and access to diagnostic and imaging services in SSM’s four-state service area—Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. The organizations will jointly invest in programs that expand chronic disease detection and management for urban and rural, underserved communities SSM serves.
 
SSM is also bolstering its existing relationship with Siemens Healthineers company Varian through a tailored set of solutions from Varian’s Advanced Oncology Solutions (AOS) portfolio.

The organizations will work to address the shortage of radiologic technologists by implementing local imaging apprenticeship programs in collaboration with community partners, beginning with The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. These programs will expand employment opportunities, provide training, and foster mentorship for local youth through the Urban League’s Save Our Sons & Save Our Sisters initiative.
