Summer may be nearing its end, but MPO’s top companies report is still receiving a warm welcome from website visitors.

The magazine’s annual (summertime) ranking of the industry’s top-performing medtech companies edged Philips’ continued respirator recall fallout and Freudenberg Medical’s new coating process in total pageviews. Both Philips and its Philips Respironics subsidiary have reached an agreement to resolve economic loss claims in the U.S. Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) related to Philips Respironics’ voluntary recall of some of its sleep and respiratory care devices. The settlement does not include admission of liability, wrongdoing, or fault by Philips, but it will compensate some people who obtained devices after the recall.

Trailing Freudenberg Medical’s coating process—traffic-wise—was a column from the magazine’s September issue on ways medtech suppliers can adjust their business models to rebuild their teams, and a roundtable discussion on current trends in medical device assembly and automation.
