Valtronics to Move Headquarters

Its eye on expansion, the company has purchased a new 60,000-square-foot facility.

Solon, Ohio-based Valtronic is moving its head offices to a new, 60,000-square-foot facility—just a mile down the road from its current headquarters. The new site will house all of the U.S. operations for the company, which designs and manufactures microelectronics for medical implants. The old offices, built in 1989 when Valtronic was still young, will be sold once the move is complete.

Under the new roof will be the engineering, manufacturing, sales and administrative staff. The new facility will allow Valtronic to offer additional production capacity for customers, expand its engineering and prototyping areas, and add training areas for its employees, while providing increased space for new employees and equipment. This will all help the company towards its goal of growth not only in the medical sector, but also the advanced industrial and aerospace markets.

“With growth in excess of 20 percent since 2010 we want to position ourselves for a 50 percent increase in sales over the next few years” commented CEO Jay Wimer. “We are confident that the expanded operation will offer our customers the services and manufacturing bandwidth they seek to increase their market share in this highly competitive market.”

Valtronic expects the move to begin early in the third quarter of this year. Eighty-nine employees will be moving from the company’s existing regional headquarters, and the company plans to add 50 new jobs in the next few years.
