Value Plastics Introduces New Barbed Check Valves

Fort Collins, Colo.-based Value Plastics Inc. has introduced a new line of barbed check valves as an extension to its SCV Series of check valves. Most medical grade check valves incorporate solvent bonded end fitments that require costly material handling and increase the risk of contamination and cracking due to chemical incompatibility introduced through solvents. SCV Series barbed check valves were developed to provide a reliable mechanical connection and simplify tubing assemblies that often require multiple parts needed for in-line check valves. They are available in medical grade materials and multiple barb sizes and, according to Value Plastics, the valves feature more precise, lower crack pressures, higher flow rates, low priming volume, air bubble mitigation during priming and operate in any spatial orientation.

The check valves feature 2.4 mm and 3.2 mm single barb ends in barb to barb straight through. All check valves feature DEHP (di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate)- and latex-free silicone diaphragms.

Value Plastics also recently added four new sizes of socket fitments within the existing SCV line, expanding options for customer requiring bonded terminations.
