Biomedical Structures Names New President and CEO

Biomedical Structures LLC has named Dean J. Tulumaris as its president and CEO.

“We are pleased to welcome Dean to BMS,” said John Gray, founder and chief operating officer of Warwick, R.I.-based BMS. “Dean has a proven record of strategic leadership and medical device industry experience that will be beneficial to the future of BMS.”

Tulumaris’ experience has focused on the outsourced development and manufacturing of medical devices. He has worked at Bethel, Conn.-headquartered Memry Corporation and Minneapolis, Minn.-based MedSource Technologies Inc. During his tenure at Memry, where he held several positions before becoming president and CEO, Tulumaris directed a systematic expansion of production capabilities to enhance the company’s service offerings. As a result, revenues nearly doubled over three years.

“Dean’s addition to the team, along with our acquisition of Concordia Medical earlier this year, will continue to drive growth and will accelerate BMS’s expansion of capabilities and services for our customers,” stated Randy Spencer, BMS board chairman.
