ATS Acquires EM Vascular Assets

Plymouth, MN-based ATS Medical has aquired certain assets of EM Vascular Inc., according to the Associated Press.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, ATS, which manufactures mechanical heart valves, will issue stock to EM Vascular Inc. of White Bear Lake, MN, which will be distributed to EM Vascular stockholders.

ATS said the acquisition included intellectual property that may lead to breakthroughs in the treatment of common vascular and blood disorders.
