New software is designed for the analysis and reporting of sleep studies, overnight oximetry studies, and overnight capnography studies.

Stowood Scientific Instruments Ltd. launched its new sleep analysis software this week at MEDICA, the world's largest medical trade show.

The firm's Visi-Download 2 is the latest version of the "gold standard" Visi-Download software; it is designed for the analysis and reporting of sleep studies, overnight oximetry studies, and overnight capnography studies. It works best with Stowood’s own limited-channel ambulatory sleep polygraphy recorders, the Black Shadow, Black Flash Plus, and the Black Flash.

Visi-Download 2 can download, analyse and report from more than 26 different sleep recorders including the latest Stowood, Masimo, and Radiometer devices. It has user friendly features such as automatic and manual analysis, export of patient lists, screenshot tools, fully customisable analysis, commenting, and reports. 6 minute walk tests and analysis of Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests are also built in. These features allow a wide range of sleep related diagnostic tests to be performed by the clinician on one platform, leading to reduced training overheads, IT and support challenges, and ultimately better patient satisfaction.

Stowood is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The Oxfordshire, United Kingdom-based company develops and manufactures hardware, software, accessories, and consumables designed with both the clinical user and the patient in mind, to deliver high quality sleep diagnostics. Stowood distributes its products in more than 20 countries, supplying equipment used in various settings, including research, dedicated sleep laboratories, and patients' individual homes.

Stowood is exhibiting at MEDICA  through Nov. 17 in Hall 16, Stand H48.
