New tool to reduce ownership costs and facilitate manufacturer documented certification between patients.

Eitan Group, a provider of advanced infusion therapy solutions across the care continuum, has announced its new preventative maintenance servicing tool—FasTestPM (preventative maintenance). The new tool is designed to significantly cut maintenance costs and runtime and will also provide end-users with an immediate, downloadable authentic manufacturer certificate enhancing patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Today, most infusion pump certification checks are performed manually, and require the purchase of additional lab materials, such as specified syringes, scales, and other equipment.

FasTestPM will replace Q Core’s previous maintenance kit and will allow end-users to quickly and economically conduct full maintenance tests, including occlusion detection, air detection and pump accuracy checks. The pricing for the new tool will be 90 percent less than the previous kit and will have a total runtime of four minutes, an 83 percent reduction in runtime from the previous kit, significantly reducing both time and expenses for pump service.

“We are revolutionizing the entire concept of preventive maintenance. With this new tool, our maintenance tests are now automatic, paperless and be performed anywhere, including alternate site providers. This provides the end-user the flexibility and confidence to perform at the highest level,” said Ohad Upin, Sapphire product manager for Eitan Group. “By listening to our customers, we can evolve and improve our products and their functionality according to the end-user’s needs, ensuring safer infusion systems.”

Eitan Group will be demonstrating the new service tool along with its other infusion and drug delivery products at the MEDICA Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany. Eitan Group, a co-exhibitor of the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute at the event, can be found in Hall 16, booth M20.

FasTestPM will officially launch at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada this December.
