Schiller Presents Five New Products at Medica

By Schiller AG | 11.12.18

Company is debuting an Afib analyzer, cardiopulmonary functional analysis system, and two defibrillators.

Schiller AG is presenting five new products this week at Medica, the world's largest medical trade show (held in Düsseldorf, Germany, through Nov. 15) . The new products are: the medilogAR, the ECG device CARDIOVIT CS-104, the ErgoSpiro solution CARDIOVIT CS-200 Office ErgoSpiro, and two defibrillators— FRED easyport plus and FRED PA-1 Online. Schiller is exhibiting at Medica in hall 9 at stand 9E05 (as well as 9E04, 9E05-2 and 9E22).

medilog AR
Schiller's medilog AR Holter system locates atrial fibrillation in zero seconds, analyses respiratory episodes, and shows high-resolution HRV. The Holter recorder features a resting ECG grade 32,000Hz sampling rate on three channels. It scans for atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter like a cardiologist by directly looking for P-waves. The analysis is carried out using the medilog DARWIN2 software.

The shock- and splash-proof design makes the medilogAR Holter highly suitable for the daily clinical routine. Thanks to the dual-battery concept, the patients can be screened for more than 14 days without having to see the doctor to change the batteries. medilog AR is flat, so it can easily be carried in a trouser pocket or using the carrying case, either on a belt or with a neck belt directly on the body.

CARDIOVIT CS-104
With the CARDIOVIT CS-104, Schiller offers a complete ECG system, ready for use in practices, clinics and hospitals. CARDIOVIT CS-104 offers all possibilities in a single system: resting ECG with the Schiller ECG analysis program ETM as well as ETM sport, resting rhythm recording of up to 20 minutes, and exercise ECG. Both are available with optional arrhythmia detection, vector ECG and spirometry, based on the ultrasound technology of the SpiroScout SP plus. Everything is pre-installed and tested by Schiller, ready to be used in the clinical practice.

CARDIOVIT CS-200 Office ErgoSpiro
The CARDIOVIT CS-200 Office ErgoSpiro system performs cardiopulmonary function tests (CPET) according to the latest ATS/ERS guidelines. The metabolic tests combined with diagnostic-quality 12-lead exercise ECG is suitable for a wide range of subjects, from clinical patients to high-performance athletes.

The PowerCube-Ergo with the Pneumotach sensor are the heart of the system. The Pneumotach meets the 24-wave forms from ATS/ERS and provides accurate and reliable flow/volume measurements in the complete flow range. The PowerCube-Ergo provides fast-response, stable and durable electrochemical (long-life) technology for O2 measurements and rapid ultrasound (patent) for CO2 measurements.

The system can be completed with either a wireless or a USB 12-lead ECG acquisition module and with an automatic blood pressure measurement that includes a built in SpO2 sensor.

FRED PA-1 Online
Based on FRED PA-1, the easy-to-use defibrillator for public access areas, Schiller developed FRED PA-1 Online, which can connect with LifeDataNet G2. The LifeDataNet G2 Remote Monitoring System regularly informs users on the status of all their devices. A unique solution to make sure the FRED PA-1 Online is always ready to use. The device automatically performs a regular self-test and indicates its ready-to-use status— or alerts users to a problem so it can be rectified. The comfortable plug and play system automatically connects the FRED PA-1 Online device(s) to LifeDataNet G2.

With the LifeDataNet G2 Remote Fleet Management System, Schiller makes it easy to manage everything for an AED Fleet from an online interface. The system offers a solution to ensure that the defibrillators are always ready to use and regularly informs on the status of all your devices. The comfortable plug-and-play system automatically connects the compatible Schiller AED device(s) to LifeDataNet G2. The LifeDataNet G2 server offers a 99.5 percent availability and complies with the highest security standards for the hosting of medical data (ISO 27001). Communication between the defibrillators and the LifeDataNet G2 server is certified with an SSL certificate and encrypted over AES 128 bits.

FRED easyport plus
FRED easyport plus is the latest Schiller defibrillator: its weight of only 780 grams and its small size combined with greatest functionality are unique in the world.

Thanks to a one-two-three workflow and detailed information provided on the large color screen, the FRED easyport plus is extremely easy to use. The FRED easyport plus can also connect to LifeDataNet G2 and performs regular automatic tests to ensure its correct operation. It signals its status with the green flashing on/off button.

The defibrillator has an intuitive pediatric mode: while using the same electrodes, just press the button to change the mode. Due to its weight, small size and functionality, FRED easyport plus is the ideal companion for physicians, public service staff, even for risk patients and their family members, or anyone else who wants to be ready to save a life with early defibrillation.
