Endicott Interconnect Technologies Inc. has delivered a set-up PC board to STI Electronics Inc., which was designed to meet the unique temperature, reliability, performance, vibration and G-force requirements for a space application, according to the Endicott, N.Y., firm. Endicott Interconnect, with support from STI, developed a method of fabricating a double- sided PC board with a single-tier cavity on a 50 millimeter copper core. The single-tier design allows STI to wire bond its semiconductor module, also fabricated by Endicott International, to the copper core, which in turn provides both heat dissipation and rigidity, according to Endicott Interconnect, which also supplies electronic interconnect solutions and electronic/mechanical equipment to medical device companies.
