Tens of thousands of medtech professionals are converging in Düsseldorf, Germany, this week at the world's largest medical trade show to network and learn about the latest healthcare innovations.

Running through Nov. 17, MEDICA features more than 3,000 exhibitors in the medical equipment, medical device, diagnostics, lab equipment, disposables/consumables, IT systems/solutions, and imaging/diagnostics sectors. Spread throughout 18 exhibit halls, companies from all corners of the earth displayed their wares, including smartwatches, robotic surgical systems, mobile biological labs, microscopic cameras, and custom electronic components. 

Forums and several special shows on varied medical-technological topics are being presented as an attractive complement to the trade fair.

The MEDICA Connected Healthcare Forum, MEDICA Health IT Forum, MEDICA Econ Forum, MEDICA Tech Forum, and MEDICA Labmed Forum. Conferences include the German Hospital Conference (the leading communication platform for decision-makers in German hospitals), the MEDICA Medicine + Sports Conference, and the International Conference on Disaster and Military Medicine (DiMiMED). Another highlight is the MEDICA Start-Up Park, where newly-established companies present their creations.
